WINDOWS XP:



 


1. Navigate to C:/windows/system32.



2. Copy cmd.exe to your desktop, and re-name it to "sethc.exe".



3. Copy and paste that file back in C:/windows/system32.



4. When you are asked if you want to overwrite the file, click "yes".



5. Finally, log out from your guest account and at the user select window, press the shift key 5 times.



 


WINDOWS 7:



 


1. Navigate to C:/windows/system32.



2. Copy cmd.exe to your desktop, and re-name it to "sethc.exe".



2. Right-click on "sethc.exe" and click "run as administrator".



3. Click on "properties" and then "advanced".



3. Select your current user and click on "change permissions".



4. Click on "edit", and then check the "full control" box.



8. Copy the new "sethc.exe" to system32 and click "copy and replace".



5. Restart your PC.



6. Once you get to the user select window, hit the "shift" key 5 times and you should see a command prompt.



7. To replace the password, type the following command and then press "enter":



 


Command: net user account.name *



Example: net user joseph *



 


8. Finally, set any password for that account and log in.



 


WINDOWS 8:



 


1. Download PCUnlocker here:

2. Burn the .iso to a CD/DVD or USB. Here is a basic tutorial if you need help:

3. Boot your locked computer from the newly burned CD/DVD or USB.



 


4. Wait until the process is finished, and a window will pop up allowing you to reset the password!
